Roald Dahl Museum- Great Missenden
A great place to spend a couple of hours. We paid around £30 for a family of 5. This is valid for a whole year too! It’s great even if you aren’t an avid Roald Dahl fan.
Lots of interactive things for the children. My children recorded their dreams on a little speaker and it’s played back in silly voices. Another thing they loved was the simple short stop animation, colouring in, dressing up, hunting info and listening to tales on various headsets.
Really interesting for adults too. Especially the nice calm, uncrowded atmosphere, even in school holidays! We also attended a story time with a very engaging member of staff.
The village itself is lovely and I saw there were a couple of Roald Dahl trails but we didn't have time to complete them this time.
Not far away in Aylesbury is another Roald Dahl museum. We visited this a few year years ago and also loved it! My children were much younger so I can’t really compare but it’s def worth checking out! I remember having fun with the green screen there.
