Chessington World of Adventures- Surrey

Updated: Jul 4, 2023

🎢 We cashed in our Tesco Club Points and visited Chessington on a weekend in June.

🎢 Took my 9,6 and 4 yr old and it was perfect for them.

🎢 My youngest was just under 1.1 metres and he could go on most things.

🎢 I would say the rides are perfect for children these ages.

🎢 Downloaded the app to keep a check on wait times, they weren’t always accurate but it gave you a rough idea.

🎢 Given it was a Sunday, the queues could have been worse but we were 'queued out' by the end of the day. As is the case with theme parks.

🎢 Gates open at 10am so we arrived at 9:40 and there was a queue waiting. However once the gates opened, the queue went down very quickly.

🎢 We headed straight for the Scorpian express and due to it been at the far side of the park, we were able to go on a couple of times before the queue built up.

🎢 We then headed for the Gruffalo ride, a long wait, 40mins and our longest wait of the day. However I did notice towards the end of the day the queues here were much shorter. So might be worth saving.

🎢 They do a parent swap ticket, if you go to customer info, you can get this pass that allows you to swap with your partner, to save you queuing twice. Great if you have a babes in arms or something. They also hire buggies.

🎢 I was surprised by the food choices, more options than other similar places and good children's deals.

🎢 One thing I didn’t like is all the pay for games etc, I hate these add on's. Inevitably the children wanted a go on all of these but when you’ve paid so much to get in you don’t want more expense.

🎢 The animals are an added extra and was a nice bit of calm in between rides, a nice way to break up the day a bit.

My youngest son has been asking to return ever since!

I didn't get enough photos to give you a true image.
