Camping- Town Farm- Chilterns

Town Farm Camping, Ivinghoe in the Chilterns.

🏕 A fantastic campsite in Ivinghoe. Handy from North/West/South East London and also easily accessible from major motorways from the North.

🏕 Huge pitches, fire pits available, views stunning. No Electric hook up for tents, only hard standing.

🏕 Very well equip kitchen, microwaves, kettles and charging points to use. Fridge and Freezers too.

🏕 Very clean toilet/Showers. Womens, Mens and family room, near the main field and the same again in a second field.

🏕 Childrens playground in the main field and a assault course style one in the back field.

🏕 Games room with Table football and table tennis (hire bats for £5 deposit- refundable)

🏕 Over weekends and holidays various independent food vans arrive. Friday- Wood Fired Pizza was delicious, breakfast van in the mornings, Mabel’s Table- coffee and cakes in the afternoon and Saturday night the most delicious Fish and Chip van! (Expect a wait) best I’ve had in a long time!

🏕 Lots to do around, although we mainly did nothing but relax!

We walked up to the beacon. A 20 min walk to the start and a pleasant 1 hr slow paced round trip.

We drove to the car park and just did the 1 hr round trip. Icecream/coffee van.

Stunning views all the way up to the top. The children loved it, saw so many red kites and there were people flying modal planes.

🏕 There is also the country’s oldest windmill a short walk away.

🏕 Ivinghoe village itself is gorgeous with a great playground. We walked 15mins (off road) to the pub one evening.

🏕 Further afield 20/25 min drive there are two excellent Roald Dahl museums, very fun and interactive. One in Aylesbury and one in Great Missenden. I have blogs for both of these.

All in all we had a fabulous weekend in a really great spot, the campsite is very well run. Relaxed but managed. Quiet conversations after 11pm and fires out at 12. No music.

If I had to pick a downside, there was slight plane noise and some road noise but otherwise a relaxing place to camp and it really didn’t bother us at all. Still felt super relaxing in the countryside.

We will be returning!
